We were next to the Hooch Room in the Club for a retirement ceremony. The building was nice, however, it was moderately dirty. I did not consume and beverages, or food, so I am unable to comment as to the quality.
Very highly recommend the new pet friendly rooms wth tons of space. High ceiling in main Livingroom makes it feel even bigger. Clean, huge rooms. Full kitchen is great, 2 bedrooms being seperated by a living area is nice with kids. Washer dryer are a bonus. Stayed 2 nights and loved it. Fold out couch came in handy too . Couldn't ask for any better for military families.
We stayed in TLF for 10 nights. Nice little space overall. We had a suite with a pullout sofa in the living room, a kitchen stocked with dishes (plates, cups, silverware, etc.) a dishwasher, a stove, a microwave and a full size fridge. We also had a good size bathroom with tub/shower combo with removable showerhead, and a separate room with a queen bed. There were also several dressers and closet space for all our clothes. House-keeping was always helpful, providing us with fresh towels, toilet paper, coffee, or anything else we needed. Always friendly and professional too. Overall it was a pleasant stay, and I'd definitely stay here again if I needed overnight lodging.
I stayed in the Soundside Commando inn lodging area, so i cannot speak for the other lodging areas on base. Rooms only have wifi, landline connections are present in the room but do not work which means the internet connection is extremely unstable and very slow. This problem was even worse when the hotel had more guests since everyone was on the wireless connection at the same time. It's actually a shame because the internet speed is pretty good and worked decently well during slow times, even when i was on wireless. In my opinion there is no reason at all for a hotel to only have wifi capabilities when they even have the landlines there, makes absolutely no sense to me and is really just a waste of their money since none of the guests are getting the speeds they are paying for. Staff and rooms are pretty standard as far as hotels go, nice microwave, fridge, TV and bathroom. Would be a very nice experience if the landlines actually worked for the internet so that's really the only complaint, however its a pretty big problem.
Every time we stay here is always a pleasure. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms and surroundings are well kept.
